Please enter a string to search:
... UPPER/lowercase will be ignored.
... max. 100 hits will be searched
Tips:
Stringsearch:
This is default. Example: searching for head will retrieve
entries that contain the string either as word itself or others that may
contain yellow-headed, headscratching
and such.
Words:
You may want to restrict your search to words definitely. In this case
you can enclose your search-expression with + .
Searching +head+ will show up entries containing the word
head. Strings like headscratching are ignored.
One side truncation is possible too. +head finds everything
starting with head, e.g. headscratching;
head+ finds everything
ending with head, e.g. parrothead
Specific bird wanted:
If you are looking for a specific type of parrot we recommend to
search the scientific name. We have added this to the entries whenever possible.
Example: Amazona retrieves all entries covering genus amazona;
aestiva retrieves only the Blue-fronted Amazon's entries;
xanthopterix shows only the Yellow-shouldered blue-fronted amazon.
Looking for the nominate form only you may try aestiva aestiva.
Table of results:
Results are presented in form of a table. Each record will be searched
for your entry completely, i.e. your entry may occur in any field of the
results. (Authors, Title, Serial and so on.). Results are sorted
by year (newest first). Tips for aquiring literature at the end of the
results-page refer to the national (german) possibilties only.
